Coderr — AI App & Website Builder

Overview

Coderr turns a plain-English idea into a working app or website. You describe what you want, and an AI agent plans the work, writes the files, shows a live preview, checks its own work in a real browser and publishes the result to <name>.coderr.site in one click.

It runs fully self-hosted on my own server, with my own backend, database and AI providers.

How it works

• Chat and plan: the agent writes a step-by-step plan that ticks off live while it builds.
• Live preview: the app runs next to the chat, with an address bar, device sizes and a real Code view (file tree, CodeMirror editor with tabs).
• Self-testing: an AI agent browser (Playwright + Chromium, isolated sessions) opens the app, clicks through it and streams the screen live, so you can watch the AI test its own work.
• Publish: one click puts the app on its own subdomain. Generated apps can have their own sign-up and database through the Coderr SDK.
• More tools: image generation (FLUX), file uploads, GitHub repository import, and Build/Design modes.

Architecture

• Backend: Node.js + Hono with PostgreSQL for users, files, sites and AI usage, plus a JavaScript SDK that gives generated apps storage, AI and their own user accounts.
• AI: DeepSeek by default, Qwen (DashScope) as a second provider, with per-user and global daily cost caps.
• Security: SSRF and DNS-rebinding guards on outgoing fetches, private-IP blocking in the agent browser, Cloudflare Turnstile on sign-up.
• Apps: Windows and macOS desktop apps (Electron) and an Android app, built by GitHub Actions.
• Payments: bKash and Nagad for users in Bangladesh.
