Instagram AI Influencer — Automated Content Creation System

Overview

Instagram AI Influencer is an n8n workflow that manages an entire virtual influencer persona, from long-term content strategy down to the individual daily post. The bundled example persona, "Addi", is a nature photographer, and the profile is fully customizable.

The challenge with automated social content is keeping it coherent and on-brand over months. This project solves that with a hierarchical planning model and a human-in-the-loop review at every level.

How it works

• Tiered planning: the workflow checks Supabase for an existing quarterly, monthly and weekly plan. If one is missing, it emails the owner for direction, has GPT-4.1 draft the plan from the level above, and emails it back for approval.
• Revision loop: reply with change requests and the AI revises the plan until it is approved, then saves it to Supabase.
• Daily posts: recent post history from the last seven days is aggregated so new posts stay consistent, then the AI writes the post concept and caption.
• Images: photorealistic images are produced with the OpenAI image API using reference-image editing for a consistent look, converted to files and stored.
• Publishing: approved posts are published to an Instagram Business account through the Facebook Graph API.

Engineering notes

Structured information-extractor nodes turn LLM output into typed plan data, Gmail serves as the approval interface, and Supabase stores plans, posts and images, giving the persona a persistent memory across runs.
